Cold War Tanks

T55 – this Soviet tank was used in the Afghanistan War. It was so safe that no tank soldier died during the war.

This is a modified version of the T55. If you ever watched the movie Apocalypse Now, you’d know that Americans dropped Napalm bombs in Vietnam. Well, this tank shot napalm instead of projectiles.

Only prototype ever made of the Soviet Troyanov Super. It had four tracks in order to distribute the weight of the tank across a wider surface and enable it to ride on ice and snow. Intended destiny: attack the US via the North Pole! It turns out the engine was not powerful enough to turn the tank.

Russian prototype built to carry a huge lamp capable of illuminating objects up to 30km away. Here's the joke: the crew would peel potatoes and leave them for 5 minutes under the light, and voila -- roasted potatoes!
