Australians are Geniuses!

привет, my friend!

Today was a pretty good day! Not only it was Friday, but three guys from work invited me for lunch and I was really happy. We went to a restaurant near the office, and had a Бизнес-ланч, which is "business lunch" written in Cyrilic.

I ended up not going to the movies, since my manager was briefing me on the activities of the department.

When I got to the hotel, I had a traditional Russian meal for dinner: beef stroganoff. It was awesome!!!! The sun was still shining outside, which was really nice, since it rained all week! I took a picture from my hotel room. You can see what I like the most about Moscow: the combination of old constructions with modern buildings.

I then went for a walk to some nearby supermarkets I'd found on the web. It was the first time I'd been to a large Russian supermarket, and some things were quite interesting. Tomato sauce was really expensive, because I think foreigners are the only ones that use it -- so far, I've seen many Russians eating pasta without any sauce. And most of the frozen products were made by two Brazilian multinational companies: Sadia and Perdigao, which is quite nice.

To celebrate such a good day, I bought a bottle of beer. The nice thing about Moscow is that people are allowed to drink alcohol on the streets, and in fact they do quite often!!! I bought a 0.5 liter bottle of Fosters for USD 1.25. Whoever invented this bottle is a genius. Instead of a metallic cap, it has a can-like pin connected to the cap, so a bottle opener is not necessary.

Kangaroos are definitely the smartest marsupials on earth!
